The summer cruises are an integral part of the delights of joining Woodbridge Cruising Club, and members are greatly enjoying the current cruises, including the recent Belgium and Holland cruise. Participating in well organised cruises is one of the best reasons for joining WCC, and sailing in company is always a joy, especially if are voyaging to harbours new, and want a safe trip with fun social events.
Future cruises planned are the Blackwater, Walton Pond and the ultimate cruise the Three Rivers, all with SADs ( Safe Arrival Drinks), a meal at the local sailing club, and often walks, barbecues or other social events.
Onshore activities are always pleasant, and the clubhouse overlooking the River Deben is the hub for the summer socials and barbecues, which are really enjoyed by club members. The August Bank Holiday barbecue is always a sell-out, and a chance to socialise on shore. The puddings are a special treat at this event.
As autumn approaches, club members are looking forward to the Wednesday suppers and the club Sunday talks, as well as the laying up supper – always a gastronomic treat.
