For any organised events at the Club, we ask all Members and their guests to carry out a lateral flow test the day before the event. Lateral flow kits are available free from chemists and pharmacists, and can even be delivered free to your home. If you feel unwell with symptoms that could possible indicate Covid-19, please do not attend events at the Club even if the lateral flow test is negative – they are not 100% reliable.
Members and visitors should also be diligent about hand washing – hand sanitisers are stationed inside the entrance to the clubhouse.
There is clear evidence to show that our newly installed ventilation system will help significantly to reduce the spread of Covid-19, so for large events we will continue to ensure that there is a good flow of air through the clubhouse. At this time of year, this means that the inside of the clubhouse will not be as warm as usual, so please bring suitable clothing with you to compensate for this.
Please remember the basic guidance about social distancing. At recent functions we have asked members not to congregate at the bar which has worked well, but this is now as important as ever.
We will refund any member who needs to withdraw from a Club event as a result of a positive COVID test.
These additional controls will be in place for a while, until the number of cases locally drops again – we will keep members informed.
