Over a hundred years ago Great Yarmouth was at the epicentre of the Herring Fishing Industry, with drifters bringing in vast catches of the ‘silver darlings’. Over those years a few local fishing families played an active role in the development of the industry. As an owner of several Drifters in the fleet, Will Green’s Grandfather was pivotal to the success of the industry.
